Remembering back to childhood, the popular board game of Candyland is now a store.The grand opening in Stillwater is hopefully going to take place at the end of July, on the north end of town. Candyland is brought to life and coming to Stillwater "Imagine no more malaria." This has been a goal for United Methodist Churches all over the U.S. Malaria is a disease that takes one life in Africa every 30 to 45 seconds. Students and volunteers from The United Methodist Church have joined the cause head on to help Africa get rid of a disease which has been extinct in the U.S. since the 1950's. This proves that this is a goal which can be achieved if communities everywhere unite together to help. READ
Imagining a world without malaria
Google's recent project "Project Glass" has been making a lot of buzz recently as Google looks to take another step forward not only in modern technology, but with their reign as one of the most commonly used and versatile internet companies in the world. Project Glass looks to bring "Augmented reality glasses" that could complete many tasks currently delegated to smart-phones and iPods in the form of glasses run mostly by voice activation. READ

TED Talks, a newly popularized website, was born out of an idea to spread other ideas of innovation and design, free to people of the world. Meant to inspire humans on a global level, TED (technology, entertainment, and design) was founded in 1984 by Richard Wurman and is owned by the private, non-profit Sapling Foundation. Kids eye the candy jars that line the wall, and contain old time candy that helps to set the great mood. The smell of Selma's specialty organic blend coffee floats in the air. Customers and employees chat as ice cream is served for the first time in three years, at Selma's Ice Cream Parlour in downtown Afton, the oldest ice cream parlour in Minn. READ

Selma's serves up sweet treats
On a train platform 5,000 miles away from Minn, nine German students and two chaperones get a final hug before saying goodbye to families they had lived with for three weeks. As the train pulled away necks were strained to get one last glimpse at friends and hands waved goodbye to classmates. Fortunately, this was not a final goodbye, simply a 10-month break until those same faces left on the platform land in the US with passports and cameras in hand.
