Senior year is full of getting ready for college or universities with applying to them in the fall, filling out papers galore throughout the year and keeping up with school to maintain excellent grades. College or university is the obvious choice for most students, yet there are the few who are itching to leave Stillwater Area High School to become the newest brave souls to serve our country. READ

Grads get to work

Awaiting acceptance letters and meeting up with future dorm mates, many seniors are cruising out of high school on the path most traveled by. For others, jumping into yet another year of timed essays and monotonous lectures does not sound as inviting. Rather than emptying their pockets for college tuition, seniors Kaylee Mehlhorn and Rylee Rechtiene will be heading out to Colorado to work at Vail Ski Resort. READ

Grads go global

After the final high school bell rings and seniors are forever freed from high school classrooms, most elect to further their educations by attending college. However, a few students are choosing an entirely different option by taking a year off before starting college. Some are electing to travel, while others are choosing to spend an extra year at work to avoid student loans. READ

Some students want attend a four-year college where they are able to take a variety of classes to help them figure out what they want to do. However, there are those students who know exactly what they are passionate about. READ
