From radio to television |
"When I was little, I wanted to be a fireman," said meteorologist Chris Shaffer of WCCO TV. "That is until I realized how dangerous it is, and how little it pays." Numerous factors brought Shaffer into his current career, but the basis in the deciding of his career was the fact he is a simply curious person. |
"I thought it would be easier than it was. I thought I would have more control," said writer Elisa Bernick, discussing the endeavor of having a book published. Bernick and her family moved to San Miguel Allende, Mexico with the intentions of living a life of adventure and spending more time together. |

While some female students prefer jeans, a skirt, or a dress to cover their bottom half, there are a select few who place leggings above all else. Leggings are a favorite of many teenage girls. They are comfortable, stylish, casual and seem to be the perfect pairing to any sort of outfit. As students listen diligently to their sophomore English or newspaper teacher, Rachel Steil, they would never begin to imagine the stories and adventures their teacher's past holds. From traveling to the Amazon her senior year of high school, to working as a news editor for her college's newspaper her sophomore, to internships at Kare 11 and Nightline, Steil is no ordinary teacher. |
